Hats off to Radiohead!

I've been watching Radiohead’s recent antics with interest over the last few months. Their bid to revive the music industry and take on the recording companies has been fascinating.

It seems to me they did take a risk by allowing consumers to pay what they liked for their album, "In Rainbows", but one that paid off and turned out to be a spectacular PR move. In treating their fans with respect, giving them choice and creating hype surrounding the album they have managed to top the album charts and significantly raise their profile.

Clever marketing as well, where they now have a vast resource of registered users to target in future marketing campaigns. Ingenious!
